In 2001, Denver inaugurated its new stadium replacing the previous Mile High Stadium on an adjoining site. As a part of negotiating the entitlements for the new stadium, including a variance to Denver’s Mountain View Protection Ordinance, I chaired the Mayor’s Design Advisory Committee. The Committee, made up of leading, local design professionals, guided significant changes to the original stadium design resulting in the sleek, undulating form and profile that distinguishes the 76,125-seat home of the Denver Broncos.
